Hello

I've been writing and art directing ads in London agencies since 2003. I've created successful and award-winning campaigns for ambitious brands by continuously evolving my craft across varying media.

Everyone has a Ford story. Mine is that my dad had one. I learned to drive in my mum's one. When the time came, the first car I bought was a Ford. And when the chance arrived to work on one of my

all-time favourite brands, I was overjoyed to start the next chapter.

The 'paper of record' and 'the paper that is the Sunday papers'. What a touch it was to get to work on these publications. 

​

High-quality journalism must be accompanied by high-quality advertising and promotion. 'smile in the mind' stuff.

​

A challenge to be sure, changing hats between floor 13 of News UK (The Sun) and running down stairs to floor 10 (The Times and The Sunday Times), but it was an exhilarating opportunity to be writing reactionary press, radio and TV promotion during a torrid time in the UK's history.

The Spice Girls... Some things are just better together.

Guinness and rugby are no exception. The iconic pint of the black stuff has been at the heart of The Six Nations pre-tournament chat, as well as the post-match celebrations since before there was a Six Nations. Or even a Five Nations.

And this OOH and POS campaign set out to share in the camaraderie of the sport... and land me a few free tickets to the games. Oh, flower of Scotland...

Another great British institution ticked off the old advertising bucket list. 

'Planet Home' has been an enormously successful and long running campaign strategy for the energy giant.

​

And I was thrilled to get to play with all of their cash when producing TV, OOH and CRM creative for them.

Anyway, this was one of my all-time favourite accounts to work on. At the time the new SLS AMG was being launched as was the new SL, SLK, E-Class Cabriolet, and C-Class Coupe, plus Mercedes-Benz were celebrating their 125th anniversary. And I got to be part of it all.

Everyone loves a cheeky little punt, don't they? From the Grand National casuals to the weekly lottery winner wannabes, as well as the two little ducks and two fat ladies, plus all of those hoping to score big with their acca.

From bingo to sports betting I've created some highly successful, and irritating campaigns.

Every writer thinks they have a book in them. I think I have several. And several screenplays. Finding the time to work on them in-between having dance parties with my kids, cooking, cleaning up after the kids, walking the dog, being 'Husband of the Year', cleaning up after the kids again, filling the dishwasher, filling the washing machine, emptying the dishwasher and hanging out the washing, and then cleaning up after the kids again is the issue...
